The MUE-25 model for local and regional sustainability
Despite the large number of legal regulations, existing tools and best practice models, negative impacts of human activities on the environment such as greenhouse gas emission, impacts of the transport sector or land consumption are still growing in Europe. Much of these negative trends take place in cities and urban regions. MUE-25 has developed a framework model enabling cities and regions to reduce the added impact of all activities within their whole urban area.

On February 12-13, 2008, MUE-25 organised a final event in Berlin-Lichtenberg. About 150 key persons responsible for the urban issue from 25 European countries gathered  to present and discuss the integrated management approach. Material and proceedings from the Forum are available from this website.
